Thanh Thoi and Binh An car ferries take 2 hours 30 minutes to 3 hours 10 minutes from their own terminals and are the only option for cars. Superdong runs three sailings each way every day, while Phu Quoc Express runs two to four by season, plus extra trips on holidays and Tet. Thanh Thoi runs 8 to 10 car ferry sailings a day from Ha Tien and adds departures on busy days.
Phu Quoc to Ha Tien Ferry
Phu Quoc Express, Superdong, Thanh Thoi and Binh An all run the Phu Quoc to Ha Tien ferry. The fast ferries board at Bai Vong Terminal, and the Thanh Thoi and Binh An car ferries board at their own terminals on Phu Quoc. The first sailing back leaves at 05:00 on Thanh Thoi, and the first fast ferry leaves at 07:00 on Phu Quoc Express and arrives at 08:30. The last fast ferry back leaves at 14:00 on Phu Quoc Express and arrives at 15:30, and the last car ferry leaves at 18:00 on Thanh Thoi. Crossing times and one-way fares are the same as from Ha Tien.
Ferry Ticket Prices: Ha Tien to Phu Quoc
All fares are one way, and fast ferry return tickets cost exactly twice the one-way fare. Foreign passengers aged 60 and over pay the adult fare on both fast ferries.

Binh An Ha Tien Ferry Terminal is about 1.5 km by road from Ha Tien Port. On Phu Quoc the three Bai Vong terminals are spread out: Binh An is about 700 m from Bai Vong Terminal, and Thanh Thoi is farther south.
From Bai Vong Terminal, Duong Dong town is about 14 km away (27 to 30 minutes by taxi) and Phu Quoc International Airport 6.6 km. Ride-hailing fares to Duong Dong are 74,000 VND by motorbike and 161,000 to 180,000 VND by four-seat car. Every ferry route to the island is listed in the Phu Quoc travel guide.
Getting to Ha Tien Port
Ha Tien bus station is about 1 km from Ha Tien Port, roughly three minutes by taxi or motorbike taxi. Most bus companies offer a free transfer to the fast ferry terminal, so tell the driver you are heading to the Phu Quoc ferry. Buses from Ho Chi Minh City (about 315 km) take 7 hours 30 minutes to 8 hours 45 minutes, and buses from Can Tho (about 193 km) take 4 to 6 hours. Ha Tien Port also serves the Pirate Islands ferry.
Seat Classes, Onboard Amenities, Luggage and Motorbike Transport
Phu Quoc Express offers Economy with reclining leather seats, air conditioning, TV, free Wi-Fi and USB charging, plus a VIP cabin with 130 degree recliners and free drinks. Superdong has one Economy class on two decks with air conditioning, restrooms, a snack bar, an outdoor deck and English-speaking crew. Superdong seats coded with a V on the upper deck are standard seats, not a VIP class. Both fast ferries hand out free bottled water, a cold towel and a seasickness bag.
Seasick-prone travelers should pick rows 5 to 18 in the center block on Phu Quoc Express or the middle of the lower deck on Superdong. The Thanh Thoi ferries have an air-conditioned upper lounge with leather seats, TV, free Wi-Fi and a coffee bar. Binh An ferries have air conditioning, TV, free Wi-Fi, USB charging, restrooms, a small bar and sleeper berths.

Passenger and vehicle fares are charged separately. Binh An includes one free driver ticket with each car. Book a motorbike or small car on Thanh Thoi 2 to 3 days ahead, a large car or truck 5 to 7 days ahead, and a container 1 to 2 weeks ahead. Drivers need the original registration papers, valid vehicle insurance and a driving license in the name on the ticket.
Superdong carries motorbikes on its fast ferries, with space for about 10 to 15 per sailing, so reserve 3 to 5 days ahead. Drain the fuel into a bottle before boarding, and expect a loading fee of 30,000 to 50,000 VND at each port, paid to the porters. Phu Quoc Express carries passengers only.
Luggage and Prohibited Items
Phu Quoc Express includes 20 kg of free luggage per passenger and Superdong includes 10 kg. Excess weight is charged on board. Both fast ferries ban explosives, flammable goods, chemicals and weapons. Phu Quoc Express also refuses livestock and poultry, and Superdong refuses drugs and strong-smelling or leaking goods. Thanh Thoi bans spare fuel and other hazardous goods.

Arrive 30 to 45 minutes before departure for Phu Quoc Express and Superdong. Arrive 60 to 90 minutes early when taking a motorbike or car on a car ferry, and 2 hours early with a truck or container on Thanh Thoi. Foreign travelers show a valid passport and visa. On Superdong, children under 14 travel with a birth certificate or with a relative holding identification.

Cancellation, Refund and Ticket Change Policy
Phu Quoc Express and Superdong charge a 30% fee to cancel at least 24 hours before departure, with no refund after that. Both refund 100% or rebook you free when they cancel for weather or safety. With 24 hours notice, Phu Quoc Express changes a ticket for 30% and a passenger name free once. Superdong allows name and sailing changes before departure, and refunds in full if it reschedules your sailing. Neither fast ferry refunds or changes tickets on public holidays, Tet, weekends, or sailings with fewer than five seats left.
Thanh Thoi and Binh An tickets are non-refundable, even when the operator cancels. Both move you to another sailing instead, and Binh An accepts changes up to 3 hours before departure.
