Refund Policy

Understand the refund and ticket exchange procedures for passenger and vehicle ferry bookings across Vietnam. Ferry VN applies operator policies transparently to ensure travelers receive eligible refunds promptly.

Refund and Exchange Fees by Operator

Refund and exchange terms differ between operators across the Vietnamese ferry network:

Requests submitted with less than 24 hours notice on fast ferries are non-refundable. Fast ferry tickets are also not refundable or exchangeable on weekends, public holidays and Tet, or when a sailing has fewer than five tickets left.

Refund and Exchange Fees for Phu Quy Express

Phu Quy Express applies a tiered fee that varies with how long before departure you notify the operator.

General Regulations

The following general regulations apply to all refund and exchange requests:

• Weather cancellations: When the operator cancels a sailing for weather or safety reasons, passengers on fast ferries receive a 100 percent refund or a free transfer to the nearest sailing. Thanh Thoi and Binh An car ferries do not refund tickets and instead move passengers to a suitable departure.
• Fare differences: If a ticket is exchanged for a higher priced sailing, the passenger pays the difference. If exchanged for a lower priced ticket, the fare difference is not refunded.
• Payment method: All refunds are credited back to the original card or account used during checkout. Cash refunds at port counters are not available for online e-tickets.
