Child and Senior Fares
Children under 6 travel free when sharing an adult seat on both operators. Senior fares apply to Vietnamese citizens aged 60 and over, and foreign passengers aged 60 and over pay the adult fare. Discounts need ID matching the ticket name.

Tran De Fishing Port is a working fishing harbor with basic facilities, so bring water and snacks. Ben Dam Port lies about 12 km from Con Dao town, 20 to 25 minutes by taxi for about 140,000 to 150,000 VND each way. Con Dao Passenger Port sits in the town center, 1.2 km from Con Dao Market. Getting from Can Tho to Tran De
Tran De lies about 78 km southeast of central Can Tho, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours by road via the Nam Song Hau highway. A taxi or ride-hailing car from Ninh Kieu costs about 800,000 to 1,000,000 VND one way, which works well for groups of three or four. Phuong Trang and My Duyen buses run from Can Tho bus station via Soc Trang to Tran De for about 70,000 to 100,000 VND and can drop you near the port.
Seat Classes, Onboard Amenities, Luggage and Motorbike Transport
Superdong offers one Economy class with leather seats, air conditioning, restrooms, a snack counter and an outdoor deck, plus free drinks on this long crossing and English-speaking crew. Phu Quoc Express has Economy on both decks and a VIP cabin upstairs, with air conditioning, TV, free Wi-Fi that weakens offshore, USB charging and power outlets. Both hand out bottled water, a cold towel and a seasickness bag. Seasick-prone travelers should sit mid-ship on the lower deck, especially from November to February when the open-sea crossing is rougher and cancellations are more frequent.
Motorbikes
Superdong carries 10 to 15 motorbikes per sailing for 250,000 to 400,000 VND each way, depending on the bike, plus a loading fee of 30,000 to 50,000 VND. Reserve 3 to 5 days ahead, arrive 90 minutes before departure, and drain the fuel into a bottle before boarding. Phu Quoc Express does not carry motorbikes. Neither operator carries cars.
Luggage and Prohibited Items
Phu Quoc Express includes 20 kg of free luggage per passenger and Superdong includes 10 kg. Excess weight is charged on board. Both ban explosives, flammable goods, chemicals and weapons. Phu Quoc Express also refuses livestock and poultry, and Superdong refuses drugs and strong-smelling or leaking goods.

Both operators charge a 30% fee to cancel at least 24 hours before departure, with no refund after that. Both refund 100% or rebook you free when they cancel for weather or safety. With 24 hours notice, Phu Quoc Express changes a ticket for 30% and a passenger name free once. Superdong allows name and sailing changes before departure, and refunds in full if it reschedules your sailing. Neither refunds or changes tickets on public holidays, Tet, weekends, or sailings with fewer than five seats left.
