About Lightning 68
Lightning 68 began service on August 2, 2024 under Bien Son Commercial Shipping Service Joint Stock Company, which was established on April 7, 2021 and is headquartered at 529B National Route 80, Quarter 6, My Hung Hamlet, Vinh Thong Ward, An Giang Province. Its vessels were built at the Hong Ha Factory of the Ministry of National Defence and have built-in massage seats.

The fleet is two sister catamarans, Lightning 68-6 and Lightning 68-8, built in 2024 from high-grade aluminum alloy under design code SBKG-250. Each vessel seats 187 passengers on the lower deck and 55 on the upper deck. Economy seats are padded leather massage seats with built-in vibration controls that recline 45 degrees, and VIP adds premium massage seats, free drinks and priority boarding and disembarkation.
